If you’re a live concert buff, the past few months have no doubt been a little tough. Sure, online music streaming services like Spotify, Amazon Music and SiriusXM have filled the void a little, but they’re no substitute for the energy, excitement and spontaneity of a live concert event.
If you are a fan of live music, we have some great news. Kinaxis and the Canadian Live Music Association (CLMA) have joined forces on a live streaming concert series where select performances are free! It’s our way of thanking supply chain heroes for their hard work and dedication while also supporting performers and venues hit hard by COVID-19 restrictions.
The series includes an impressive lineup of Canadian musical artists performing from local venues across the country and covering a wide range of genres – soul, pop, hip hop, punk, jazz, Celtic – and more. With so much choice, there’s music to suit everyone’s taste.
Here is a glimpse of some upcoming performances:
- March 27: Accomplished pianist, composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer Quincy Bullen will stream live from Poetry Jazz Cafe, the iconic Kensington Market hub.
- March 28: Darren, Rachel and Chrissy of Còig, members of one of Atlantic Canada's most exciting Celtic traditional groups, perform from The Lunenburg Opera House.
- April 24: Soul Sessions programs an evening of Canadian soul with performances from Idol contestant Gary Beals, Juno nominee Ray Robinson, Kimya, and Leila Day with backing from The Recipee Band. Streaming from DC Music Studio.
