Kinaxis® (TSX:KXS), provider of RapidResponse®, delivering cloud-based SCM and S&OP applications, today announced that AMD has selected Kinaxis RapidResponse to plan concurrently across functions and time periods for end-to-end visibility across the entire supply chain.
Headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, AMD is a global technology company which designs and sells high-performance computing and graphics products that power millions of intelligent devices. RapidResponse will be initially deployed to replace legacy supply planning systems and to create a high-quality supply plan, while minimizing late demand and excess inventory. The supply chain team will also model time-phased capacity constraints and reduce the planning cycle time through tight integration and alignment of planning functions enabling continuous orchestration of their enterprise’s operations performance.
“We are excited to continue strengthening our supply chain with Kinaxis RapidResponse,” said Homi Nariman, corporate vice president, Supply Chain and Quality at AMD. “By connecting our data, process and people, we will be able to gain a consolidated view of our entire supply chain, enabling us to collapse our decision cycle time and connect all the links in our supply chain.”
“With a greater need for real-time end-to-end visibility, planning, simulation and collaborative decision-making, organizations are increasingly placing Kinaxis RapidResponse at the core of their supply chain planning transformations," said John Sicard, chief executive officer, Kinaxis. “Our revolutionary cloud based concurrent planning platform is driving breakthrough results for our customers by removing the latencies that come with legacy cascaded approaches. We are thrilled that AMD has chosen Kinaxis RapidResponse to support their supply chain journey and we look forward to working closely with their highly capable team.”
