Kinaxis response to COVID-19 outbreak
Like many around the world, Kinaxis is monitoring and vigilantly responding to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation around the clock. We appreciate the healthcare workers, local communities, and governments around the world who are on the front line working to contain this coronavirus.
Our first priority is the health and well-being of our employees, customers, partners, and communities and we believe it is vital to do our part as a company to keep people safe.
Protecting our employees: We have taken steps to ensure the health and safety of Kinaxis employees including a global mandate for our employees to work from home, and we are closely following travel restrictions and guidance from governments around the world so that our people stay safe.
Ensuring planning continuity: We want to assure our customers and partners that we will continue to deliver the service and support you have come to expect from Kinaxis. As a solution designed to help our customers manage during times of significant disruption (e.g., weather, political, economic and health), the Kinaxis RapidResponse® platform is and will remain secure, operational and capable of supporting you, your people and your business. We have multiple protocols and risk management policies in place to ensure we continue to meet your needs. As a global, distributed team, it is in our DNA to work with and support our customers remotely and we continue to be here for you.
Supporting extended use: To aid in our customer’s response, Kinaxis is offering unlimited report access users for RapidResponse® at no charge to ensure our customers can maximize agility in communication throughout their supply chain community. This is effective immediately through to the end of June 2020.
Supporting local business: While we have suspended many services at our locations due to our office closures, we’re continuing to support vendors in our communities by continuing to pay for these services (even if suspended) to help do our part in ensuring enterprises can stay afloat during this time. We have also donated food and drinks typically used in our offices to local food banks.
Donations for humanitarian relief: Kinaxis has donated to the United Nations Foundation/WHO COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund on behalf of our customers to help with immediate global needs. With our Canadian headquarters location, we also donated to the COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund at the Ottawa Hospital, which not only helps support front line workers, it is the only facility in Canada equipped to research and develop a vaccine. In terms of community support, Kinaxis employees can apply any of their unneeded Working from Home benefits towards the charity of their choice and we’re matching all of these donations as part of our Corporate Giving program. We’ve also been in touch with a number of charities – from healthcare providers to those representing frontline and essential workers – to figure out how we can make the biggest impact for those most in need.
Partnering with government response: We are prepared to volunteer our services to contribute to the efforts in managing COVID-19 in the short term but also building long term disruption response capabilities. Kinaxis is in conversations with multiple governments, including Canadian federal and provincial governments, and foundations discussing how to apply our supply chain expertise to help matching supply with demand and dealing with constantly changing dynamics.
